Not a game

No post on the game today. Today is Veterans Day in the U.S., a day that originally was meant as a day of reflection and thanks for the end of World War I, but has since come to be a day when we honor our military veterans. Even if you don’t live in the U.S., chances are that you live in a country that enjoys peace and that affords you the luxury of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” Please take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices others have made so that you can live your life as you do.

Most people privileged to live in a free society have no idea of the immense time, effort, and resources required to guarantee that freedom. That is as it should be, but once in a while we should all reflect on the people, like military veterans, who make it possible — those who gave up their own and their family’s comfort and security, and too many of whom gave up life itself, so that others may enjoy theirs.

About Fiannor
I have a day job but escape by playing WoW. I love playing a hunter, and my Lake Wobegonian goal is to become "above average" at it.
